2024 Poetry Recitation Competition

Proudly Announces Its Annual

This year the Arts in Black Advisory Board will host its Annual Poetry Recitation Competition for students in grades K-Collegiate Students.  The Competition will be held on Saturday, May 4th, 2024 at Fulwood Park’s Syd Blackmarr Stage here in Tifton, GA, at 1:00 P.M.  Prizes will be awarded to winners in each category.

The Advisory Board is asking all schools, churches and civic organizations to sponsor young people to compete in the following categories:

• Category I: Grades K-3
• Category II: Grades 4-6
  
• Category III: Grades 7-8
  
• Category IV: Grades 9-12 & Collegiate Students
  

All poetry (excluding limericks, jingles, pop songs, rap, etc.) is permissible. Qualified officials will judge all grade categories separately.  The official entry form is posted at the bottom of the page.
